Wayne Parkes is the Founder and Managing Director of The Executive Shortlist.  He accumulated more than 36 years experience as a Manager and Director in Human Resource consultancy - working in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane - after  a short marketing career with a major US Oil company in New Zealand.  While his consulting experience grew through Senior Executive and Information Technology recruitment (he was the Australasian Director of Australia's then largest Executive Recruitment advertiser from 1976 to 79) he specialised in top level appointments and pioneered the introduction of Leadership-based 360° feedback programs in the early 1990s while leading a team of consultants operating out of 5 offices in Australia and New Zealand as part of the international consulting firm, Wareham Associates.  He has dealt with senior executives and CEOs across a wide variety of organisations including Blue chip corporations, SMEs, Government and NFPs.  Wayne has a BA degree from Victoria University of Wellington, NZ. He is the author of the popular business text “Recruiting in Australia” published by Reed Books in 1986 and served as a Board member of Charities and Sporting Clubs for 18 years including the Guide Dog Association (Chairman for 6 years), Middle Harbour Yacht Club and NSW Water Ski Association. The Executive Shortlist was founded in 1980 and part of Wareham International until 1999.
